Picked up in Dallas, Texas and delivered to Whitefish, Montana

We picked this up from the clients home in Dallas, Texas. After we got it loaded onto the trailer and secured. We were on our way. GPS said it is 1800 miles. It took a couple of days to get there. We traveled through Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and finally Montana. Many miles of really curvy roads. Some of it really scary! JR and I saw some of the most beautiful country. I love America!

Picked up in Cleburn, Texas and delivered to Gattatin, Tennesse

JR and I were awww struck when we were finally able to feast our eyes on this beauty. After we loaded and secured this beauty we were on our way. It was an interesting trip at some points. We had some stop and go traffic in Louisiana. When we were stopped people would run up and take pictures of and with the car. We were pulled over sleeping at a truck stop and several men woke us up to ask about the car. Everywhere we went people took pictures and wanted to talk about the car.  We made it to Gallatin with no problems. This little beauty road wonderfully.

Picked up in Humble, Texas and delivered to Bartlesville, Oklahoma

We were and are in love with this car. It is an amazing car. After we loaded it onto the trailer. We covered it (see pictures below) for travel. We did that so the rain that we would encounter would not get in the motor. And we didn't really want anyone to know what we had on the trailer. It wasn't a typically long trip that we have. Only about 8hours.  We loaded in the afternoon. And after several delays like road construction and 2 accidents. We did have to pull over at a truck stop and sleep a little bit. We delivered at 8am the next morning.

Who is Dirt Road Transport

Bubba and Me 3.jpg

Meet JR and Myra Duke.

We have been married for 44 years. We have two sons, 1 daughter-in-law, 5 grandsons,1 granddaughter, 1 granddaughter-in-law 1 great granddaughter and as of this writing 1 on the way.

JR was a truck driver for over 30 years. He drove long haul for a while. Going from Florida to California as a dedicated run. After a few years he started hauling water in the oil field. This way he could be home with Myra and the boys.

Now he's retired!

Myra was an insurance agent for many years. She worked as a captive agent in Bryan/College Station Texas. After her and JR relocated their home. She decided to quit work to go on the road with her husband.

We sold everything we owned. Bought an RV and live in it full time. Our home is located in an RV park in Caldwell, Texas

Our desire, as a young couple, was to travel. We figured we're not getting any younger. He's retired and now's the time. But, how to off set the cost of travel. Well that's when we decided to start this transport business as a way to see the country and to have a way to help with the finances that come with traveling.

We needed a mentor. So we contacted our nephew Joel, whom is also in the transport business. Joel has played a big part in helping us start our business. He has given us advice and helped every way he can. And we thank him!

We love meeting lots of different people. Seeing and maybe participating in different cultures. Eating the different foods has been interesting and enjoyable. The adventures has been amazing. We have seen so much of our beautiful America. And we have loved every part of it.

Well, that's us! See you on the road
